I just started to write my book and the first chapter is about the Best Ride of My Life!!! This event changed my life. I was so honored to be riding on the back of Harleys', and in the cab carring the FireEngine and the Transport vehicle carring the STEEL. The meaning of this Event, and the incredible men and woman who were involved, will be with me my entire life. PATRIOTISM IS ALIVE AND WELL AND LIVING IN THE HEARTS OF THE FIREMEN, POLICE, FIRST RESPONDERS, HOMELAND SECURITY, VETERANS, ETC. Love you all and miss you, especially, Patty, Mike A. Spock, Richie, Mike S. Larry, Frank, Harry, Danny, Marge and Joe, and so many more I can't remember all the names. What an amazing event. My wife and I were able to make the Shanksville trip but unable to make it to Georgia. Hopefully we can make it in 2010 to DC. God bless all of you.

It is with regret that I inform you that Lance Corporal John Nash of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, one of our escorts, died in the line of duty, while escorting a memorial run on Saturday. I want to thank each and every one of the New York City Firemen that came to Ft. benning, GA for the presentation of the steel beam to be part of the RICK RESCORLA statue display at the national Infantry Museum. It was a moving experience for me. I had served with Rick in the 7th Cavalry in Viet Nam 1966. Again THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. You Guys are the Greatest !!
